Day One: Debt Basics | September 24, 2024 | Agenda
Day one of this three-day seminar covers fundamental elements of debt financing, including core issuance terminology, the roles and responsibilities of issuers and their financing team, and the types of debt instruments that state and local governments are able to issue. The curriculum for this training is designed to provide municipal financing principles through lecture, case studies, and exercises.
Day Two: Mechanics of a Bond Sale| September 25, 2024 | Agenda
Day two of this three-day seminar is focused on the preparation, planning, and processes involved in issuing municipal debt. Some of the main topics covered in this program include the development of a debt policy and plan of finance, structuring debt service payments, managing the costs of issuance, and the development of legal documents.

Day three of this three-day seminar is designed to provide government officers with essential knowledge related to managing continuing disclosure responsibilities, post-issuance filing and reporting, and compliance with federal arbitrage rules.
